Ukraine President Zelensky recently "rarely admitted" that Ukraine's troops are short and the morale of the troops is problematic. In an interview, he said that the Ukraine army needs more people to join to boost morale. Since the end of last year, the Ukrainian army has lost control of a number of places, in part due to personnel shortages, which forced Ukraine to introduce a mobilization law. Zelensky told AFPpokertracker:"We need to replenish the reserve forces... a lot of (brigades) are empty."
